Chinese lady-painter Shu Meij Shu was born in 1969 in Shen Zeng-China.

From her early years she was making drawings and watercolors and at the age of 17 she attended the Academy of Fine Art in ShenZeng.

In 1991 she started working for a Chinese Atelier where for several years she copied European masters.

However she wanted to develop an own style and since 1993 she started working as a portrait painter.

Slowly she developed her own style, Chinese girls in all sort of Romantic situations, for which paintings she became rather wellknown in China and the Far East, where her paintings sell for high prices

In 2002 she moved to Amsterdam, where she first earned her living also by making portraits for several galleries.
But since 2005 she started again in making beautifull Romantic portaits of young Chinese and European girls in all sort of situations.
